FROM THE AUTHOR OF 'THE ELOPEMENT' (featured on NPR), and 'KANISHKA', a story of midlife changes on the nine-year journey between past and future, geophysically suspended half-a-world from 'home.'

Informed by conversations in zoom calls, and occasional forum threads that are tied to the concept of midlife and seasons, it's a story of what one has learned who has gone down many roads. More than 27 countries over just as many years, primarily focused on deeply immersing in the 'where am I?,' and 'who am I?' questions that are at the center of all of Kismuth Books, it's an international perspective that opens a lot of doors, just to see what else there is, and goes into them, to check out, and investigate. Midlife means no more of this, because it is tiring. But what did the visitor learn?

Concepts of change, transitions, self-development and self-re-writing, unprogramming from old scripts, and redesigning one's life for 'The Forth'.

All of this is part of this short story, with a backdrop of a befuddled post-ish-pandemic awakening. Midlife: 'And now what? Wait! Is this as good as it gets?', asks, The Second Half of the Forth.

Dipika Kohli has written a new diaresque short eBook, which is a conversation mostly with herself through a yearlong 'thrashing,' as she calls it, through adjusting to realities of Midlife. What didn't happen and will never happen, what might yet be, and what the values are of personal relationships, and one's own relationship to one's life, along with, of course, the acceptance of realizing, as a rapper in Latvia put it, 'Sometimes, when you shoot for the stars, you land on the moon.'
